As coaches we always work in partnership with our clients. We are never, so to speak, one step ahead or guiding our client, because we are never thinking for them, only in partnership with them. There are of course times we are afforded (by our neutral perspective) the advantage of foreseeing things that our financial advisor clients might not. One such example of this is: Visualizing the future client and the impact that will have for the future of the business.

The beginning of the year is an exciting time, especially after the close of a successful previous one. All too frequently however, we simply “reconfigure” our strategic plans from the previous year, rather than adjusting our plans moving forward to seriously take into account the growth and success our team has gained over the past 365 days. Sure, this feels like a giant task, and it seems easier to repeat what we’ve done and what we already know, at least in some respects, works. But think about the opportunity you’re missing out on.

They say that the best leaders know how to delegate. At ClientWise we’d argue that the best leaders know how to collaborate. However, part of the challenge of transitioning to a leader is learning to let go of certain responsibilities to share them with team members. The same is true of partnering and collaborating with outside entities who can help you develop that team and gain an outside perspective for greater understanding of exactly how your team collaborates.

Veterans Day is an incredibly important day for our nation, because it marks an opportunity for us to celebrate the sacrifices made by those individuals who protect our country and maintain our freedom. It’s an honor that very few can claim: Less than 10 percent of Americans are veterans, and far fewer, only 1 percent, are currently fighting the War on Terror.

As the premiere coaching company serving financial professionals, ClientWise has several key objectives to accomplish simultaneously. This distinction helps financial advisors gain a clearer understanding of how coaching, different from consulting, advising or mentoring, can help them in the process of improving their practice and their relationships.

The Role of Financial Advisors in America's Freedom
Posted by Alix Purcell on Jun 14, 2014 1:46:00 PM
On June 14, 1777 the American flag was adopted as the symbol of our country’s freedom and independence. The 13 red and white stripes symbolize the 13 original colonies, and the 50 stars each represent a state. Even the colors, red for valor and bravery, white for peace and innocence, and blue for vigilance, perseverance, and justice, bear particular significance to the values our country was built upon. This symbol has come to represent so much, that those who hold it dear follow special protocol around wearing, folding, flying and saluting it.
