Honoring Our Veterans & Active Duty Military

By Ray Sclafani | November 11, 2014

Veterans Day is an
incredibly important day for our nation, because it marks an opportunity for us to celebrate the sacrifices made by those individuals who protect our country and maintain our freedom.  It’s an honor that very few can claim: Less than 10 percent of Americans are veterans, and far fewer, only 1 percent, are currently fighting the War on Terror.

These numbers may seem small, especially when considering the incredible impact these men and women have had, but their sacrifices are far-reaching and go well beyond the proverbial battlefield. Everyone from their mothers and fathers, to their spouses and children share in the responsibility of this sacrifice. We’d like to take this moment to celebrate these individuals as well, in addition to the accomplishments achieved by veterans since completing their active duty.

An incredibly large number of veterans currently contribute to our workforce, and help shape the direction of our country through their roles in Congress and other government bodies. Even at ClientWise, we’ve worked with several veterans who have completed their tours of duty and now work in financial advisory and financial leadership roles.

In honor of these men and women, and all the others who have protected our freedom, we’d like to ask you to take a moment to personally thank those in your life who have sacrificed everything to serve for our country.
