Faculty Mentor Program™

This monthly mentoring program, exclusively for Northwestern Mutual advisors, moderated by Ben Beshear, Scott Sparks, and Ray Sclafani promises to provide valuable insights and knowledge from industry leaders, helping you enhance your skills and excel your advisory practice. Each has moderated hundreds of learning sessions and are now bringing the best of all of our content to one place. This is perfect for the entrepreneurial advisor who has built or aspires to build a multi-million plus practice.

PROGRAM DETAILS
Frequency: 1 per month
Time/Date: 10 a.m.- 12 p.m. ET on first Tuesday of each month. Sessions will be recorded, and access will be available after each session.
Duration: 2 hours per month
Platform: Zoom (Invitations available at sign-up)
Cost: $1,000/month (cost includes unlimited team members)

  • The Faculty Mentor Program (FMP) is a faculty-led mentoring forum designed for elite Northwestern Mutual advisors and teams.

    It provides:

    • Monthly, peer-level discussions centered around real business decisions
    • Strategic guidance from experienced practitioners
    • Open dialogue with other top-performing firms
    • Conversations focused on leadership, enterprise value, and succession

    This is not a training or implementation program.

    It is designed to sharpen thinking and stretch leadership at an enterprise level.

  • The Faculty Mentor Program is focused on strategic thinking and leadership development.

    • Business Builders Academy (BBA): Quarterly, in-person, workshops for controlling owners and executive leader
    • Private Client Coaching (PCC): Partner with an ICF-certified coach to systematically work through current challenges and future opportunities.
    • Consulting: Directive, hands-on guidance and execution support

    FMP complements these programs by helping advisors think at a higher level, enhancing the impact of coaching, consulting and implementation work.

  • FMP is intentionally built for:

    • Private Client Group (PCG) firms and Advisors
    • Ensembles and Strategic Groups
    • High potential Advisors tracking towards that level

    It is not designed for early-career advisors or those seeking step-by-step execution support.

  • Each session is a faculty-led discussion, not a presentation.

    You can expect:

    • Real-world topics and decisions facing advisory firms
    • Faculty perspective grounded in experience
    • Open dialogue and shared insights from peers
    • Practical frameworks and examples you can apply to your firm

  • The ClientWise eXchange™ is an online community for high-performing advisors and their teams who are committed to building enduring firms.

    It is where FMP lives and where members can access:

    • Live session links
    • Session Recordings

    It also provides access to our broader library of content and connection with other top-performing advisors.

  • The sponsor program is a preferred pricing program for Managing Partners looking to sponsor a minimum of 3 teams or more in their Network Office.

    • Sponsored advisors receive full program access
    • MP receives complimentary access with their CGO, CMO or CDO. We encourage participation!
    • Network Office is billed monthly to credit card on file.

    This creates a shared development experience between leadership and top advisors/teams.

  • Each firm receives unlimited team member access under their membership. All team members must register through the ClientWise eXchange™ to access sessions and recordings.

    • One 2-hour session per month
    • Optional follow-up or internal team discussion depending on your firm

    Many advisors also choose to include their team members, which extends the value across the firm.

  • Sessions are held:

    • The first Tuesday of each month
    • 10:00 am – 12:00 pm ET
  • Session recordings are available within a few days after each session. Members can access their past recordings through the ClientWise eXchange™.

  • Yes. Members receive access to Session 1 and all session recordings from the point of enrollment forward through the ClientWise eXchange™.

    Sessions prior to joining are not included but may be purchased separately if desired 
  • Yes. We offer prospective members the opportunity to attend a session as a guest.

    This allows you to experience the format, faculty perspective, and level of discussion before committing to the program.
