4 Self-Tracking Tools that Help Financial Advisor Productivity

By ClientWise | April 10, 2012

Ever have one of those days that whizzes by, and you wonder where the time went?

Ever speculate on how you could crunch your own data, and come up with choices for improving your job performance AND your health?

Do you aspire to be super-productive in your work?

There’s a really interesting article from the Journal the other day entitled "Employees, Measure Yourselves", where the author, H. James Wilson, senior executive researcher at Babson Executive Education, comments on the new generation of auto-analytical tools, designed to help us analyze our own data, and become more productive.

Here are some of these tools and the potential benefits for you and your wealth management practice:

RescueTime is a web-based automated time tracking and management tool. All you need to do is install the RescueTime software and you can track your use of time usage (e.g., applications opened, web sites visited, and documents used). You can pause tracking and selectively delete sensitive data. The site also includes reports and analytics of your data. RescueTime displays a wide variety of reports from its dashboard. You can see the top apps and sites for the week, how your email ebbs and flows throughout the day, and which days are the most productive.
